Boston-based startup Air Space Intelligence (ASI) gets a new valuation of $3 billion after a $325 million Series C round led by Spark Capital. Other companies like Craft Ventures, Andreessen Horowitz and affiliates of Citadel Securities also participated.
ASI is an AI system builder that helps the military, airlines, and air-traffic controllers manage assets. This funding will help them expand their system.
Along with this funding, the startup has a June contract from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) worth $875 million over 12 years. The FAA’s main goal is to modernise US air traffic management. ASI also has Air Force-related work lined up in September, at the intersection of commercial aviation software and defence technology.
By raising $325 million, ASI has secured an investment that is larger than 99% of all historical Series C funding rounds in the security sector.
