PhysicsWallah IPO Price Band Set, Eyes $3.5B Valuation

Physics Wallah, the popular Indian education technology company, is all set to offer its shares to the public for the first time, by setting a price band of 103- 109 rupees per share as its initial public offering (IPO), targeting an overall valuation of 280.73 billion rupees at the upper end, as per the report by Reuters.

Until now, Physics Wallah has been a private company run by its founders and a few investors. Supported by backers such as WestBridge and Hornbill Capital, the firm plans to launch its IPO, allowing anyone to purchase a small stake in the company by buying stock from November 11th to November 13th, 2025. This information was reported in a newspaper advertisement on Thursday.

According to the advertisement, bids can be submitted by anchor investors a day earlier, on November 10, and the shares will begin trading on the Indian bourses on November 17.

PhysicsWallah’s IPO is valued at ₹ 34.8 billion, with approximately ₹ 31 billion worth of shares being offered in the new issue.

Co-founders Alakh Pandey and Prateek Boob will sell for 3.8 billion rupees, less than the initially planned 7.2 billion.

Valued at $2.8 billion in September, Physicswallah remains India’s edtech leader, despite rivals like Unacademy, Vedantu, and Byju’s- once valued at $22 billion- facing layoffs and financial struggles.
