Huge congratulations to Raja Ramana Macha for his appointment as Chief Technology Officer at Lucid Motors, strengthening the company’s technology leadership as it advances electric vehicle innovation. In his new role, he will focus on empowering engineers, eliminating bottlenecks, and accelerating the development of future electric vehicle technology.
Raja has over 30 years of leadership experience in automotive technology, industrial automation, and power management. Prior to his current position with Lucid Motors, he was the Executive Vice President & CTO of Eaton Corporation, where he developed and delivered innovations for various industries, including data centre power and cooling for industrial, commercial, residential, utility, automotive, and aerospace applications.
Prior to Eaton, he was with Schneider Electric for 7 years. He joined the company as SVP R&D in 2014 and left as Senior Vice President and CTO – Industrial Automation in 2020. Earlier in his career, Raja served as Sr. VP – R&D and Technical Support at Invensys Operations Management, where his responsibilities included creating and managing high-revenue products & services using contemporary and new technologies.
Raja has also worked with Geometric Ltd. as COO, leading operations of this company profitably through one of the worst recessions in recent history. Built strong engineering services and software business in the domain of product lifecycle management and discrete product design software. He has also worked with Tata Consultancy as Director – Business Consulting, Sourcing & Manufacturing and PLM solutions, and Tata Motors in various positions; his last position at Tata Motors was Head – Logistics and Systems (Passenger Car Business Unit).

Raja holds an MBA in Production and Systems from the Institute of Management Development and Research and a BE (E&CE), Electronics and Communication Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee.
