Island, the Cybersecurity startup, recently unveiled that it has raised $400 million in a Series F funding round, giving the company a valuation of $6.4 billion, which was led by Evolution Equity Partners and included both existing and new investors.
In 2025, Island was valued at $4.8 billion in 2025, after raising $250 million. Before that, the company raised $175 million in 2024 at a $3 billion valuation.
Mike Fey and Dan Amiga started a new cybersecurity company called Island in 2022. They have taken another way to protect companies by creating an enterprise browser which gives businesses more control over employees’ access to applications, data and online services. Now this startup is looking to go beyond the browser. They also want to help businesses manage the growing use of AI agents. These systems can work with company applications, data and other tools with less human involvement. That can create new security risks if an AI agent gets access to information or systems it should not use.
To address this, Island is developing what it calls an “agentic control plane.” The idea is to give companies one place to see what employees and AI agents are doing, what they can access and which actions should be allowed. This funding will help them to expand this technology and support its next stage of growth.
Island employs over 1000 people and claims that its annual recurring revenues have doubled every fiscal year since inception. Through September 2026, the company has generated revenues of approximately $200 million (up about 100% per year) and eight of the world’s ten largest banks have adopted Island’s enterprise browser.
