Bon Secours has become the latest non-profit healthcare organisation to enter into a major transaction, reflecting a broader trend of large-scale deals among not-for-profit healthcare providers. The acquisition of Surgery Partners would substantially strengthen Bon Secours’ presence in the outpatient healthcare sector and speed up its expansion into ambulatory care services. It has generated substantial returns from its investment in Ensemble Partners, a specialist in healthcare payment software, which it initially invested in back in 2016.
