Piyush Goyal and Starlink Discuss Investment Plans for India

Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal had a meeting with the delegation of Elon Musk-owned satellite internet service Starlink. The delegations comprised Vice President Chad Gibbs and senior director Ryan Goodnight.

The union minister also shared a post on X informing about the meeting to the general public, saying, “Met a delegation from Starlink, comprising of Vice President Chad Gibbs & Senior Director, Ryan Goodnight. Discussions covered Starlink’s cutting-edge technology platform, their existing partnerships & future investment plans in India.”

Starlink, as a company, offers something that no other company on the planet does on a large scale. Recently, Airtel and Jio have partnered with Starlink to bring high-speed satellite internet service to India. This technology is very suitable for India as it ensures that even the people in the secluded regions of India have a fast and reliable internet connection. Moreover, the cost of the internet will also be low compared to the competition.

On top of all that, Elon is a very close aide to the current president of the United States of America, Donald Trump. So it’s expected that he will get good deals and be exempt from the Indian government as well as the US government.
