Netflix Appoints Patty Bear as Senior Director, HR Business Partner

The world’s biggest streaming platform, Netflix, has announced the appointment of Patty Bear as its new Senior Director, HR Business Partner, in a bid to strengthen its global HR team and leverage Patty’s experience to create an efficient organisation. Effective from June 2025, Bear steps into the new role with over 20 years of experience leading HR transformation in companies such as PayPal, where she spent almost a decade, bringing major organisational and cultural transformations. 

In her new role, Bear will be responsible for shaping Netflix’s people strategy, culture, and hiring as the company eyes rapid global expansion and Innovation. Known for its storytelling, vast content library, forward-thinking work culture, and emphasis on talent, Netflix is often regarded as one of the best companies to work for, and Bear seems excited to be an important part of the journey. 

In her Netflix post, Bear wrote, “I’m thrilled to share that I’m joining Netflix! I’m beyond excited to start this next adventure and contribute to a company known for its innovation, culture, and storytelling that resonates with millions around the world.”

Before joining Netflix, Bear was a part of another revolutionary company, PayPal, where she brought about many organisational transformations. In her 10 years in the company, she helped drive leadership growth, talent development, and HR business alignment across the organisation.
