Amazon has unveiled its second-largest office campus in Asia, reinforcing India’s growing importance as a global technology and innovation hub. The newly opened campus in Bengaluru spans 1.1 million square feet with 12 floors and will support more than 7,000 employees working across e-commerce, payments, operations, technology, and seller service.
The new facility reflects Amazon’s continued investment in India, where the company has already invested over $40 billion and committed an additional $35 billion by 2030. These investments aim to strengthen infrastructure, expand operations, and support long-term growth in the country’s digital economy.
Located about 15 kilometres from Kempegowda International Airport, the campus has been designed to improve collaboration, flexibility, and employee wellbeing. It includes modern workspace, meeting rooms, breakout zones, and the largest event areas capable of hosting more than 200 people. The office also features recreational facilities, including basketball and pickleball courts, landscaped outdoor spaces, and cafeteries offering global cuisine.
Amazon India Country Manager Samir Kumar said Bengaluru has long been a key hub for the company’s technology and business teams and continues to play a crucial role in innovation and talent development. Karnataka Industries Minister MB Patil noted that large investments, such as Amazon’s new campus, help create high-quality jobs, strengthen the local ecosystem, and contribute to India’s economic growth.
