PM Modi’s Five-Nation Tour Brings $40B Mega Investment

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s five-nation tour to the UAE, the Netherlands, Sweden, Italy, and Norway has resulted in an enormous investment pipeline worth around $40 billion. During his visit, the Indian Prime Minister held important discussions with CEOs of over 50 major multinational corporations in sectors such as semiconductors, defence, green energy, logistics, and technology.

The most prominent achievement, in this regard, was upgrading the relationship between the two countries to a “Special Strategic Partnership” following fruitful deliberations with Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni. Several significant agreements were signed by all five countries covering military production, critical minerals, healthcare, and a dedicated roadmap for the defence industry. In fact, the UAE signed seven deals with India, in which infrastructure in the areas of energy and transport would be developed for an investment amount of $5 billion.

Moreover, in yet another notable move, India’s cooperation with the Netherlands was elevated to strategic engagement, including an exclusive roadmap in areas such as artificial intelligence, semiconductors, and quantum computing. Similarly, India’s Prime Minister continued the strengthening of India-Sweden relationship through a joint action plan from 2026 to 2030 that focused on green and advanced technology.
