Google Cloud appoints Stephanie Buscemi as its new Chief Marketing Officer, where she will work with Google Cloud CEO Thomas Kurian and Google Chief Marketing Officer Lorraine Twohill to lead the company’s marketing efforts.
Before joining Google, Stephanie was a Chief Marketing Officer at Confluent, leading the departments of global marketing, developer advocacy and relations, technology, field CTOs, sales development, and enablement. She also served as President and Board Member of Confluent.org. Her experience also includes board roles at Iterable and Clari.
Prior to Confluent, Stephanie spent several years at Salesforce. She held multiple leadership positions there, including Senior Vice President of Marketing for Analytics Cloud, COO of Analytics Cloud, Executive Vice President of Product and Solutions Marketing, and Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer. As Salesforce’s CMO, she led a large global marketing team and worked across products, brand strategy and customer-focused marketing.
Earlier in her career, Stephanie was Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer at IHS Markit, where she worked on global marketing, brand building and demand generation.
She also worked in marketing at SAP and SAP Business Objects, where she held various roles in business analytics, enterprise performance, management, governance, risk and compliance, and cloud and technology solutions. Apart from the corporate experience, Buscemi has authored a book titled ‘Driven to Perform’ to address performance management and improvement.
She completed her BA degree from UCLA. Her wide experience across cloud, data, enterprise software and technology marketing now brings her to Google Cloud, where she will lead its marketing function.
