Tata to Expand EV Portfolio Manufacturing Next-Gen Electric Vehicles

Tata Motors is planning to launch three electric vehicles in India. The company aims to expand its electric portfolio with next-generation electric vehicles, offering more options to customers. This significant step is taken to give better features and affordable options across different budgets. 

According to the sources, the first electric vehicle mentioned is the Tata Tiago, which is an updated/ facelift version in a budget-friendly range. It may have a better battery along with a new design, LED lights, and a larger touchscreen, making it a good option for everyday use. 

Next up is the Tata Sierra EV, launched as a premium SUV with a modern design and projected to offer approximately 500 km of driving range. Additionally, this vehicle may have a sunroof, fast charging, and an Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) safety tech feature. It’s best suited for people who want comfort with luxury at a reasonable price. 

Another name mentioned is the Tata Avinya EV, introduced as the company’s most advanced electric vehicle. This EV will be built upon the brand new gen platform with fast charging, along with an extended driving range. It may have spacious cabins and additional features, making it a more futuristic car than regular ones.
