Indian Executives’ U.S. Visas Cancelled Over Drug Trafficking Links

U.S. Pulls Visas of Indian Executives Over Drug Trafficking Links

The U.S. Embassy announced on Thursday that it has revoked visas for multiple Indian corporate executives amid allegations that two companies were engaged in trafficking chemicals used for fentanyl production.

The U.S. Embassy in New Delhi has revoked the visas of several Indian corporate figures, and they also warned that their families could face consequences, while expressing gratitude to Indian officials for their cooperation in enforcing these measures.

As part of a wider effort to crack down on the international drug trade, the U.S. is tightening visa restrictions on Indian officials connected to fentanyl precursor shipments, warning that both these individuals and their families might face entry bans. The embassy also indicated increased oversight of related companies.

In January 2025, two Indian companies, Raxuter Chemicals and Surat-based Athos Chemicals, were charged in the U.S. for allegedly sending chemicals used to make fentanyl to the U.S. and Mexico.
