AstroPay has appointed Andrea Himmelbauer as the new Chief People Officer. As the People Team Lead, it will be Andrea’s responsibility to drive the development of a global work culture, train employees and strive for a diverse and high-achieving team working remotely.
Before joining AstroPay, Andrea Himmelbauer was Culture & People Lead at Mettle, a service for digital business accounts. Her influence over four years included moulding the hybrid work culture, ensuring staff members stayed involved and linking HR operations to the company’s core beliefs. At the same time, she served as People & Culture Lead at NatWest Boxed and contributed to attracting, hiring and training many employees as the company expanded from 100 to 650 employees in the UK and Poland. She managed progress on diversity and inclusion, designed the career path for employees and guided the HR group in supporting the business.
Andrea previously worked as Director of People Operations for Arcus, a Mastercard company. She guided the growth of HR in the company and introduced performance reviews, which strengthened the organisation’s philosophy.development initiatives.
Andrea also served at Grupo Modelo, ZX Ventures and AB InBev as Manager, Talent Manager and HR Business Partner. She was responsible for setting up successful diversity and inclusion measures in the organisation. It covered numerous countries and launched HR services for newly founded businesses in Mexico using the ZX Ventures brand.

Her efforts in these areas are regularly acknowledged because they have improved employee experience, brought HR in line with business planning and transformed the culture of many organisations in Latin America and Europe.
