Accenture has acquired 2 technology service companies, McCoy and Comware, to expand its services for medium-sized businesses. The financial details of these acquisitions were not shared. Both companies will join a new division called Accenture Edge, which focuses on helping high-growth mid-market businesses in Europe and Japan use artificial intelligence (AI) and modern technology to grow.
McCoy was founded in 2012 and is headquartered in the Netherlands, with additional offices in Spain and the Philippines. It specialises in setting up and managing SAP software, which businesses use to run their operations. McCoy is an SAP Gold Partner and will bring more than 380 skilled professionals to Accenture.
This merger will help McCoy offer its clients better AI and technology tools while helping Accenture grow its presence in Europe. The second company, Comware, is based in Tokyo, Japan, and was started in 2000. It provides IT services like building and maintaining core business systems. Comware has extensive experience working with manufacturing companies, including businesses that make food, chemicals and custom-ordered products.
Comware will add more than 180 experts to Accenture’s team in Japan. Accenture executives said these acquisitions will blend local expertise and strong client relationships with Accenture’s global reach and advanced AI services. This combination will allow them to deliver faster, reliable tech upgrades to a wider range of businesses.
Leaders from both McCoy and Comware expressed excitement about the move, noting that joining Accenture gives their employees better career opportunities and allows them to support their clients’ growth more effectively as AI continues to change the business world rapidly.
