FedEx Strengthens Asia-Pacific Leadership With Key Appointments

Federal Express Corporation (FedEx), one of the world’s leading express transportation companies, has announced key leadership appointments across its Asia Pacific (APAC) region to reinforce business and talent strategy, underscoring its commitment to growth and innovation in a fast-evolving market.

Marcus Balzereit has been appointed as Senior Vice President, APAC Sales & Solutions, FedEx. With over 25 years of experience in logistics, Balzereit will lead a 2,000-member sales organization, focusing on profitable revenue growth, market expansion, and delivering tailored solutions to enhance customer value.

Joining him is Rumana Rahman, who takes on the role of Vice President, APAC Human Resources. Rahman brings 24 years of HR expertise across Asia Pacific, the Middle East, and Africa. She will spearhead talent development, build a high-performance culture, and shape workforce strategies to adapt to dynamic talent needs across the region.

In parallel, Shanker Venkateswaran assumes the role of Vice President, APAC Planning & Engineering. With over two decades of experience in business, technology, and operations, Venkateswaran will lead the modernization of FedEx’s ground network through digitization and automation, enhancing operational efficiency and flexibility.

The president of FedEx Asia-Pacific, Kawal Preet, shared her views on the appointments and said, “These strategic appointments are key to building a future-ready team in Asia Pacific.”. She further added, “By aligning our leadership with evolving market needs, we are deepening our commitment to customer success, market growth, and innovation.” The expanded leadership team is part of FedEx’s broader strategy to attract top talent and position itself as a frontrunner in the region’s logistics sector.
