Jio-BP has appointed Shilpa Surve as Head of Human Resources. In her new role, she will focus on strengthening talent, organisational capabilities, and culture to enable sustainable business growth with people at its core.
Previously, Shilpa worked at Knowledge Reality Trust as Vice President of Human Resources. Before that, she held several leadership roles at Nucleas Office Park, a Blackstone Company, serving as General Manager of Talent Management, Assistant Vice President of Human Resources and later Vice President of Human Resources. At Nucleas, Shilpa managed a strategic triad of Learning and Development, covering organisational, functional, and individual-based learning needs.
Prior to this, she worked at HT Media Ltd as Assistant General Manager, where she designed HT Media’s learning framework in line with the organisation’s business strategy. Earlier in her career, Shilpa worked at Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited for more than 8 years; there, she held several leadership roles, including Senior Manager of Corporate Learning, Assistant Manager of HRS West Learning and Development, Assistant Manager of HRS North Training, and Lubes HR Business Partner.
She also worked at HDIL as Assistant Manager of Human Resources, at Nirmal Bang Securities Limited as Assistant Manager, and at Midday Multimedia as Sub Editor. Shilpa began her career with 25 FPS Media Private Ltd as Assistant Director.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in Mass Media in Advertising from St. Xavier College, a Master’s in Management Studies in HR from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies (JBIMS), a Strategic Human Resource Management degree from the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad and an eXcaliber: Young Leaders Program, Leadership from ERUDITUS Executive Education – LATAM.
