Jindal Power Limited has appointed Sudip Nag as its new Managing Director. In his new role, he will provide business and operational leadership across the power business, building on his extensive experience in thermal power generation, operations, fuel sourcing, commissioning, and energy management.
Prior to this appointment at Jindal Power Limited, Sudip served as Chief Operating Officer of Thermal Generation at Adani Power. There, he managed operations and fuel sourcing for 12 Thermal Power Stations of Adani Power Limited, with more than 18,000 MW of Operating capacity.
Before this, Sudip served at Bharatiya Rail Bijlee Company Limited (BRBCL), a JV of NTPC & Indian Railways, as Director. He started his career with National Thermal Power Corporation Limited (NTPC) as an Additional General Manager, and now marks his return to the business as Chief General Manager before being elevated to Executive Director & Mission Director and Regional Executive Director. As the head of the Eastern Region, he oversaw operations, fuel sourcing, commercial operations, and administration for approximately 17,000 MW of operating capacity, including supercritical units and 4,000 MW of supercritical and ultrasupercritical capacity under construction.

Sudip also served at NTPC Corporate Centre as a GM, Operation Service. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology, Durgapur and a PGDMB in Operations & Finance from Management Development Institute, Gurgaon.
