On Sunday, the Uttar Pradesh government appointed Rakesh Singh IAS ( 2009 batch) as the new chief executive officer of the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority and for Noida International Airport Limited.
Rakesh Singh replaced Anil Singh, who had been serving as CEO of these two responsibilities since August 17th, 2015. The new CEO is responsible for completing the airport project on time without any delay.

The airport project will be completed within 2 to 3 months; however, the government has yet to decide on the final date of the inauguration.
Rakesh Singh is among the top seven officials. He was selected for the post since he has been working as CEO for YEIDA. Rakesh Singh worked as the Ghaziabad District Magistrate ( DM), and on January 30th, 2024, he was also appointed as Kanpur DM.
